ces in Brooklyn's ever expanding cultural scene on the monumental interior stoop of BRIC House, Brooklyn's new home for the arts in downtown Brooklyn. Free, on most Tuesday nights. Jeff Kurosaki and Tara Pelletier are a collaborative duo based in Brooklyn, New York. They create multi layered narrative projects using sculpture, video, music and performance. They met in graduate school at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and have been working together since 2006. Kurosaki and Pelletier have recently exhibited and performed at Vox Populi, PA; Space Gallery, ME, Wave Hill Gardens, NY; Abrons Arts Center, NY; Flux Factory, NY; Dumbo Arts Festival, NY; a 2010 European and Scandic performance tour; among others.
Her performances combine multiple 16mm film loop projections with repeating patterns, geometic forms and animations along with live sound using modular synthesizer. Her installations and performances have been presented internationally at venues and galleries such as Participant Inc (NYC), Ramiken Crucible (NYC), MoMA Puma Creepers Maroon Velvet
They have held residencies through the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council; Painting Space 122; and Sculpture Space. Byron Westbrook is an artist and composer working with the dynamic quality of physical space through site specific installations and unique listening formats to activate architecture and community. He has presented work at Clocktower Gallery, ISSUE Project Room, Roulette, Diapason Gallery, LMAK Projects, ExitArt (NYC), ICA London, Human Resources (Los Angeles), The LAB (San Francisco), VIVO MediaArtCenter (Vancouver), O' (Milan). He has been an artist in residence at Clocktower Gallery, Wassaic Project, Diapason Gallery, Hotel Pupik, and Institute of Intermedia.
