About CFBN
The Central Florida Birthing Network (CFBN) is a community-based organization working to improve birth outcomes and expand access to inclusive, equitable reproductive care. We bring together families, birth workers, and community partners through education, advocacy, and collaboration.

What You Bring to the Role
You don’t need to know everything, we’ll teach you! Here’s what helps you thrive in our program:
A desire to improve maternal and infant health in Central Florida
Creativity, strong writing, or visual storytelling skills
Interest in marketing, community outreach, or nonprofit management
Familiarity with apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Canva is a plus, but not required
Organization and willingness to collaborate
Passion for equity, inclusion, and reproductive justice
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, you can expect to have experience with:
Social media strategy and content creation
Graphic design and visual storytelling
Event planning and community outreach
Professional communication, teamwork, networking, and project management
Nonprofit operations and program evaluation
Internship Details
Location: Remote with occasional in-person opportunities (Orange County based)
Schedule: Flexible, 5–10 hours per month
Length: 1-2 days a week for 2 semesters, based on availability
Compensation: paid per semester
Mentorship: Every intern is paired with a CFBN member of leadership for support and guidance
What This Internship Does NOT Include
Interns will not provide clinical care, counseling, or legal advice
Interns are not responsible for organizational financial or legal decisions
This is a learning-focused internship, and does not guarantee employment or benefits
